6/9 Pigeoncote and
stables at Barn

Pigeoncote flanked by single storey stable blocks, c1800. Brick
with hipped and pyramidal roof, stone dresings. Pigeoncote, 2
storey, square plan, has central round headed doorway with
rusticated surround and glazed semicircular overlight. Above, a
single round headed glazing bar fixed light with stone sill,
keystone and imposts: another similar light to the rear.
Flanked to left by stable block with central close boarded door
with timber lintel and segmental head, with one triple light on
either side. To the right, a later C19 stable with, to left, C20
fixed light, to its right, a close boarded stable door and
beyond, a triple fixed light. Beyond again, a half-glazed door
and a further triple fixed light. Included for group value only.
