Mid/Late C19. By Horace Francis. Venetian Gothic style. Yellow brick with
stone dressings. 3 storeys and attic, 7 bay frontage. 2-light windows with
pointed heads in moulded architraves. Venetian doorway with Balmoral granite
half-columns and a trefoil head; 3-light windows over. Oriel turret with
conical roof on the corner. Gabled dormers, one stepped gable, slate roof.
Similar shorter front facing Alfred Street. Decorative wrought-iron railing
round the North-west corner of the building.
