GV II

Pair of houses. Early C18, extended C20, Timber framing with plastered and brick
infill and a colourwashed brick front; weatherboarded timber framing; shingle
roof with brick ridge stack. Single-unit and 2-unit plans with rear outshuts.
One storey plus attic. 3-window front, in Flemish bond, has two 3-light
casements between 2 entrances, plus a small casement to extreme right; the 3
openings in the right half have segmental arches and there is a large plank
shutter. First floor has two 3-light dormers and a smaller dormer to extreme
right. Roof is half hipped to right and has a large spreading stack to left of
centre. C20 extension to left. Right gable wall is timber framed, and outshut is
of weatherboarded timber framing. Interiors not inspected. Possibly originally
one dwelling.
