House, possibly former farmhouse. Probably late C16, with later alterations.
Roughcast, probably on timber-framing; old plain-tile roof; brick ridge stack to
left of centre. 3-unit lobby-entry plan. 2-storey, 3-window range. Irregular
fenestration of mostly C19 casements. Painted wood dentil cornice to eaves.
6-panel door to porch at rear. Interior: sitting room to ground floor left, has
open fireplace with shaped brick back and chamfered wood bressumer; also
ovolo-moulded spine beam with jewelled and barred end stops. Sitting room to
ground floor centre has open fireplace with wood cornice-shaped mantel shelf.
Chamfered spine beams with ogee end stops to ground floor centre and right. C20
straight flight staircase from ground to first floors. Much timber-framing
visible to first floor.
