Two cottages. Early C17. Coursed limestone rubble; gabled stone slate roof;
brick ridge and right end stacks. 2-unit plan, and 2-unit lobby-entry plan to
left (No.6). 2 storeys: 3-window range. Timber lintels over C20 door and windows
except leaded stair-light to right of centre. Interior of No.6: chamfered
ogee-stopped beam and C19 winder stairs to left; chamfered roll-stopped beam and
similar bressumer over open fireplace with bread oven to right. First floor has
collar truss with lateral chamfered spine beam to right: soffits of collar, butt
purlins and moulded principal are chamfered. No.5 not inspected but likely to be
of interest.
