Row of cottages. Late C19. Flint with brick dressings, fish-scale tiled
roofs. 4 bay row with 2 central gabled wings. Centre with 2 ground-floor
bay windows with 4 central lights and 2 canted lights, fixed casements with
horizontal glazing bars, brick dressings and fish-scale tiled roofs. Outer
bays with single ground and first-floor tripartite fixed wooden casements
with horizontal glazing bars under cambered brick arches. Central bays with
square headed first-floor 3 light casements. Central part-glazed door C20.
Wooden eaves, bargeboard gables to central bays, bargeboard end gables.
Brick quoins and dressings throughout. 2 off-centre brick stacks. Included
as an example of mid to late C19 Raynham Estate cottage architecture and for
group value with the Post Office.
