TG 23 SW HANWORTH WHITE POST ROAD

6/59 Hanworth Lodge

II*

Archway with Lodges. Late C18. Probably by Samuel and William Wyatt.
Gault brick, stone dressings, lead roof. Entrance archway flanked by
paired rendered Tuscan columns, rendered. Plain entablature. Moulded
brick pediment. Axial stack. Brick segmental arch with stone keystone
and hood mould. To either side a single storey, single bay wing each
having a sash window with glazing bars, raised reveals and gauged brick
arch with brick keystone. Corner pilasters. Part balustraded rendered
parapet. Curtain wall to right; to left a single storey extension mostly
C20. Within barrel vaulted archway to left and right 2 semi-circular
headed recessed one to each side blank, the other containing a door.
Ramped iron gates with screens. Wrought iron lamp holder. To rear banded
rustication to archway and to quoins of Lodges.
