6/56 Canal Farmhouse

Farmhouse. Early C18. Brick with thatched roof. 2 storeys and irregular
bay system. Facade with burnt headers. Central door with 2 C19 cross
casements to left and C20 window to right. Platband between storeys. 3 C19
cross casements first floor and one blind window. Gabled roof. C20 ridge
stack right of centre. Internal south gable stack. Gable heads with tumbling.
Interior. Bridging beams jewel stopped. In main first floor south room
double jewel stopped. Roof of tie beams, principals and 2 tiers butt purlins.
Many timbers replaced with softwood.
