Former mansion, now nursing home. C18 and Victorian. Brick with black pan-
tiled roofs. Extensive Victorian additions to rear of original house. C18
house of 2 storeys with attic and 4 bays. Sash windows with glazing bars
beneath skewback arches. 2-storey Victorian porch with curvilinear gable and
rectangular hood moulds over openings. 2 gabled dormers. Curvilinear gable
to north and Victorian 2-storeyed flat-roofed canted bay to south with 3 bays
of sash windows with glazing bars beneath skewback arches. Central axial
stack with 3 Victorian octagonal shafts. Interior with C18 stair with turned
balusters and shaped tread ends. Victorian additions not of special interest.
