GV II

House, now terrace of 3 dwellings. C17, extended and remodelled as
terrace row in late C18. Timber-framed in C17; late C18 Flemish
bond brick; gabled pantile roof; brick ridge and end stacks. C17
house of 3 units; late C18 houses of one (No. 23) and 2-unit plans
with rear outshuts. 2 storeys; 5-window range. Flat gauged brick
arches over late C19 plank doors, that to No 25 with C20 light,
and C19 three-light casements with iron opening lights. Interior:
No 23 not inspected. No 25 has C17 open fireplace with reset
bressummer adjoining staircase, C17 broach-stopped chamfered beam
and joists; bracing to tie beam on left. No 27 has C17 door with
strap hinges, C17 open fireplace (being back-to-back with that to
No. 25), chamfered beam (stops obscured) and beam to right with
pegholes for removed jamb studs of 2 possible former service
doors.
