House, empty at time of survey. C17 with late C18 or C19 additions and alterations.
Red brick in English bond, west facade rendered, gables mostly rebuilt, pantile
roofs. Brick gable end stacks, that to south rebuilt externally. 3 cells,
originally 2 heated rooms to each side of stair, and room behind stair. Off-centre
lobby against stair entry, with further lobby entry against stack in south east
corner. 2 storeys, attic and cellar. Main (west) elevation. Blocked offcentre
doorway with later doorway to each side. 2 ground floor and 3 first floor casements
in enlarged openings. 2 C20 dormers. Blocked stack side doorway on east wall.
Blind oval window on north gable. Central stair in original position. Stackside
stair cut off beyond first floor. Ornamented and simpler chamfer stops. Roof,
6 bays plus stack bay, staggered butt purlins. Attached boundary wall, brick,
flint with brick quoins. The building retains its C17 plan, of a type not
readily found in Norfolk.
