House, now public house. C17 with early C19 facade. Painted flint rubble with
brick dressings and repairs; plain tile roof; 3 brick chimneys (rebuilt).
L-plan. 2 storeys and attic; 3 first-floor windows. Panelled door to right
has simple doorcase with small hood. Most windows are large-paned sashes, one
in flush-fronted wooden frame. Traces of jambs for earlier wider windows.
Blind gable to left and one casement in gabled dormer to right. Later brick
extension to left has canted first-floor bay window. 2 gabled dormers to rear
with wooden framed casements. Rear gable facing Grapes Hill has brick kneelers
and a wooden mullioned window under moulded brick pediment.
