Town house with later shops, originally part of No.8 (qv). Mid
C18. Stucco on original brick; band between upper floors and
quoin strips; steep asbestos slate roof, hipped on right, with
moulded cornice under projecting eaves; cast-iron ogee
gutters. Plan including deep rear wing at right-angles. 3
storeys; 2-window range. Mid C19 twelve-pane hornless sashes
to 2nd floor; horned copy to 1st floor right and large mid C19
canted bay with hornless sashes with glazing bars: tripartite
sash to front; 12-pane sashes to returns. Ground floor has
lean-to projecting mid C20 double shop front with splayed
central doorway. Slate-hung rear has sashes with glazing bars
including round-arched stair sash. INTERIOR not inspected but
likely to be of interest.
