House. C17. Limestone and marlstone rubble with ashlar dressings; concrete
plain-tile roof with brick stacks. 2-unit through-passage plan. One storey plus
attic. Regular 3-window front has a central plank door with a 3-light window to
right and a 4-light window to left, both with renewed mullions and surrounds but
original labels. First floor has unaltered mullioned windows of 3, 2 and 3
lights in stone-gabled half dormers. Roof has stacks to right gable and to left
of centre, plus an added stack to left gable. Rounded bread-oven projection on
right gable wall. Rear has a rounded stair projection, with a small leaded
wood-mullioned window, and has a small leaded casement. Small C20 extensions to
left and rear. Interior: large inglenook fireplace backing onto passage; second
open fireplace. Spiral stair to rear of central stack.
