9/99 Downhill Farmhouse

Farmhouse. Roof timber dated December 12th, 1806. Limestone ashlar; gabled stone,
slate roof; stone ashlar rear stacks. U-plan with rear wings. 2 storeys;
3-window range, with gabled bay to left. Central C19 six-panelled door: C20
porch. Flat stone arches over window openings: left gable has C19 three-light
cross casements and 5-light attic casement; tripartite sash right of door and
C20 casements above. Outshut to left and rear wings of limestone rubble with
stone slate roofs. Interior: dog-leg with winders staircase has stick balusters.
Butt-purlin roof.
