Farmhouse and barn, now one house. Early C17, partly rebuilt in late C17. Late
C20 alterations to former barn. Coursed limestone rubble, with slate hung
gable-end to south-west. Stone slate roofs. Two-unit plan house at right angles
to road, with former barn adjoining to north-east. House of 2 storeys, with
later C17 north-east end of 2 storeys and attic over basement. South-east front:
rendered ridge stack off-centre to left and external stone end stack to right,
with rendered top. Dormer to right-hand part with 2-light wooden casement
(rebuilt in late C20) and slate-hung gable. Late C17 right-hand part with 2
first-floor windows and one ground-floor window, all wooden cross windows with
ogee-stopped chamfered wooden lintels. Small 2-light ovolo-moulded mullioned
wooden staircase window to left with ogee-stopped chamfered wooden lintel. Early
C17 lower 2-storey part let-back to left with first-floor 2-light wooden
casement and ground-floor boarded door to right with wooden lintel. Later
one-storey range to left with end stack, 3-light wooden casement with wooden
lintel and blocked doorway to right (see straight joints). Former barn adjoining
to porch. Interior of house: winder staircase with old plank and muntin door to
cellar. Left-hand ground-floor room with chamfered beams and large open
fireplace.
