Farmhouse. Late C17. Coursed squared rubble; timber lintels; stone slate
roof. 2 storeys and attic; 2-window range, symmetrical. C19 half-glazed
door under gabled porch; earlier blocked door at left end. Ground-and
first-floor windows have sashes with glazing bars under ovolo moulded
lintels. Sashes with glazing bars and and horns in 2 gabled half-dormers.
2 end chimneys (rebuilt, C20). Projecting gabled tower to rear has
original timber newel stair and traces of former window. Stop-chamfered
ceiling beams, some on first floor embellished with carved strips from
barge boards added in C20. Left ground-floor room has fireplace with stop-
chamfered bressumer, bread oven and C20 infill. Right room has C17/C18
stone fireplace with added C20 mantelpiece and infill. 2-storey extension
to right has round-headed passage arch under one first-floor sash window
and one gabled dormer.
