II

Farmhouse. C15 with early C17 and C19 alterations. Timber
framed. Front clad with red brick in Flemish bond. Plain
tile roof. 2-bay open hall, with storeyed bay to right
formerly jettied to front and side. Left end rebuilt in
C19. 2 storeys. Plat band over ground and first-floor
windows. Plain stone-coped parapet. Hipped roof to left,
half-hipped to right. Brick stack in front slope of roof
towards left end. Irregular fenestration of 3 recessed
2-light windows with top-lights and splayed rendered voussoirs.
C19 timber framed porch with panelled door, up 2 steps, under
stack.
Interior: exposed framing. Moulded end of hall beam with
close-studded partition and complete moulded spear. Evidence
for diamond mullion windows.
