Squatter's cottage. Late C18 with later additions and alterations.
Uncoursed limestone and sandstone rubble, slate roof with coped verges
on stone kneelers. Single-cell plan with C19 stone lean-to against
left gable end. One storey and attic; one late C19 casement to left
of roughly central open gabled porch with square yellow brick pillars, boarded-
over panelled door with gabled eaves dormer above; 4-panel door and late
C19 windows to right gable end; integral end stack to left has yellow
brick base and twin shafts of star section with datestone "SL (Stanley
Leighton)/1875".
