GV II

House, now divided into two. Circa 1800 with later additions and alterations.
Red brick with uncoursed limestone rubble to left return and chamfered
rubble and brick plinth, part slate-hung to right return; hipped slate
roof has brick stacks with dentilled capping in front of and behind
ridge to right. 3 storeys over basement, toothed eaves cornice
(boarded over to front); 3-window front, glazing bar sashes (tripartite
to first-floor left) with plastered stone lintels and projecting keystones;
entrance to No. 51 between second and third windows from left; open-
pedimented doorcase with fluted pilasters and 6-panel door which has
nail-head ornament below rectangular overlight; late C19/early C20
red brick lean-to on left gives access to No. 49.
