Pedestal tomb. Circa 1830-5. Sandstone ashlar. Moulded plinth, sunken
panels, moulded cornice and concave capping to swagged urn-finial. To
Moses (died 1835) and Edith (died 1838) Hamar and their 7 children (died
1811). Inscribed: "The above children of Moses and Edith Hamar/of
Colestay in this Parish were all/carried off by a Putrid Fever with/
awful rapidity in the short space of/Three Weeks - a sad instance of the/
uncertainty of human life".
