and former cartshed
adjoining to south-west

GV II

Farmhouse and former cartshed, now garage. Mid to late C17 with C19
additions and C20 alterations. Rendered timber frame on coursed limestone
rubble plinth, C20 planted timbers, coursed limestone rubble additions
(partially painted) rendered to north-west, and slate roof. 2 or 3 framed
bay lobby-entrance type house later extended to south-west to form L-plan.
Framing: square panels, 3 up to wall plate; short straight braces.
2 storeys, and attic. Gabled dormer with 2-light casement to south-west,
brick ridge stack above blocked door to south-east, and integral coursed
limestone end stack to south-west. South-west front: late C19 two and
three-light wooden casements, transomed on ground floor; 6-panelled door
to left (top 4 panels glazed) with moulded architrave and hipped C19
wooden lattice porch in angle. Left-hand return front: small first
floor casement and ground floor C19 wooden mullioned and transomed
window. North-west front: 3-window front; C20 metal casements, central
half-glazed door with C20 gabled glazed porch. Former cartshed and loft:
south-east front: first floor 2-light casement to right, ground floor
casement to right, half-glazed door to left, and large C20 garage door
to far left; boarded loft door in gable-end to south-west and lean-to
at rear. Interior: chamfered and stopped beams and joists; timber
framed square-panelled partition in former cartshed with loft.
