House, formerly house, cafe and shop, now house row. Early C16 or
earlier. Timber framed, rendered, with.plain tile roof. 2 storeys
and attic with semi-basement to left, on stone plinth. Steeply pitched
hipped roof, hipped down to a lower ridge towards right end. Gablets to
main roof. Projecting brick stack to left gable end and multiple brick
stack in front slope of roof to right of centre. Small hipped eaves
dormer. Irregular fenestration of 3 broadly-spaced casements; two 2-light
and one 3-light. 2 adjacent boarded doors towards left end up 3 steps under
continuous flat bracketed hood. C20 ribbed door up 4 steps under flat
moulded and bracketed hood towards right end. Butchers shop-front under leaded
canopy to right end, comprising 3-light window with panel of glazed tiles
beneath it and boarded door to left of it. Iron grille over door and
window. Rear lean-to. Interior not inspected.
