Farmhouse. Mid-C17 with late C19 additions and alterations. Timber
framed with rendered infill on rubblestone plinth, replaced by or encased
in early C19 red brick (mixed bond) to front; roughly coursed and dressed
limestone rubble to right gable end and also to front indicating width of
stack; corrugated iron roof. Late C19 red brick and rubblestone addition
to left has plain tile roof. Original 2-cell plan extended to left in late
C19. 2 storeys. C19 cast-iron casements to left and right of C19
boarded door under contemporary gabled timber porch to left of centre, those
on first floor directly below eaves. Large integral end stack to right with
C19 red brick shaft. Double-purlin ends. Framing: rectangular panels, 3
from cill to wall-plate. Interior: right ground-floor room has chamfered
spine beam and exposed joists. Stone-flag floor to left back room (dairy).
Central wall post and principal rafter visible beneath wall-paper on first
floor. C19 addition to left is not of special architectural interest.
