SJ 3605-3705 MINSTERLEY C.P. THE SQUARE (south-
east side)

19/91 Urinal approx.
- 17 metres to north-
west of The Cobblestones

GV II

Urinal. Probably late C19. Painted cast iron panels. 2 stalls with
returns and central divider. Circular corner shafts, panels with pierced
geometrical patterns,and moulded top rail with cresting and central
dog 'gargoyle' to front. Each plate inscribed: "PLEASE ADJUST YOUR DRESS /
BEFORE LEAVING". Cast iron maker's plate illegible at time of survey
(July 1985). The urinal is set behind two short sandstone rubble walls
which flank the narrow entrance.
