9/111 The Old Rectory and
- Rectory Cottage

GV II

Rectory, now divided into 2 houses. Mainly c.1830 but incorporating parts
of a late C18 house. Rendered brick, plain tile roofs with coped stone
verges, ridge and end stacks with terracotta pots. Earliest part is the
long low range (Rectory Cottage) with taller multi-gabled range (The Old
Rectory) to south. 2 storeys; lower range has projecting gable to right
of centre; 4:2:1 bays, windows a mixture of original cast-iron Gothic
casements and C20 casements; taller range also has Gothic casements with
labels, one on each floor to left and one above prominent gabled entrance
porch with nail-studded door; set-back range to right. 3-window canted
bay on ground floor to left-return with embattled parapet. Interior not
inspected.
