Shown on O.S. map as Sunday School.
House. Early C19. Red brick with hipped plain tile roof. 2 storeys.
Painted rendered or ashlar plinth and dentil brick eaves cornice.
Truncated external brick lateral stack to right. 3 bays; 4-pane sashes
with painted stone cills and lintels. 2 stone steps up to central
pair of boarded doors with moulded architrave and painted wooden doorcase
with reeded pilaster strips, entablature and triangular pediment.
Painted moulded oval stone panel above door, probably former datestone.
Flanking set-back one-storey wings. Right-hand wing has boarded door
with 3-part rectangular overlight and pilastered surround with frieze
and hood. Left-hand wing with external brick end stack and 4-pane sash
to front. Interior not. inspected. The building appears to have been
extended to the rear at some time (see straight joint). It might formerly
have been a chapel or meeting house.
