Detached cottage. Dated 1700, modified. Local stone with some cobs, all rendered and colourwashed; thatched roof with
plain gables; brick chimney stacks, Two storeys, 7 bays, Mostly C20 leaded casement windows, but some appear to be of
earlier date: to bay 3 a former porch, two storeyed, projects, with coped gable: the first floor window an ovolo-mould
window in wave-mould recess with hood, the probable mullion removed, with later window below: in gable a datestone
inscribed HL/LL/1700. East end of house semi-circular on plan. Interior not seen, The house earlier known as
Greystones, thought to be a small C17 building enlarged in earlier C18. (VCH Somerset Vol IV, 1978, p.142).
