South and east boundary walls, railings and gates to South Cottage

Boundary walls, railings and gates. Mostly C19. South and half of east boundary of Cary stone rubble with Doulting
stone copings averaging 3 metres high; on corner C20 ashlar gate piers with wrot-iron gates; remainder of east boundary
wall - in line with South Cottage (qv) - a lias ashlar base wall varying from 600mm to 1.2m high, capped by 1 metre
high railings in wrot iron, having spear-tops and curve-braced standards: the whole not only adds to the setting of
South Cottage but is important in the streetscape at a focal point.
