Pair of Cottages in row. C18 or earlier, modified. Local stone rubble, colourwashed: plain clay tile roof with ornate
bargeboard to East gable; brick, stone and rendered chimney stacks. 2 storeys, 4 bays. 2-light casements with plain
lights, upper bays 1 & 2 have old frames, bays 3 and 4 horizontal bar casements; below plain shop windows bays 1 and 2
and horizontal bar 2-light casements bays 3 and 4: C20 pattern glazed doors between bays 2 and 3 and also right of bay
4 : exposed timber lintols over all openings. In East gable, which breaks the street line, is a late C18 2-light
hollow chamfered window with pointed arched lights and deep cut spandrels under square label; shaped corbel to corner
over chamfer below. Interior not seen.
