Farmhouse. Early C18, substantially modified by Sir Arthur Blomfield in
the 1860s for the Goodford family. Local lias stone carefully cut,
squared and coursed, quoins with pecked finish, Ham stone dressings;
fish scale clay tiles over base courses of plain tiles between coped
gables; rendered end and intermediate chimney stacks. 2-storeys of 'L'
shape plan, 4-bays. 6-panel door, 2-glazed, to bay 3 protected by a mid
C19 Gothic style timber porch with ornamental bargeboards and tiled
roof: ovolo mould mullioned windows with large rectangular leaded panes
and label moulds, all 4-light save for a 3-light over porch - some
opening iron casements with old catches. 2 rear extensions, one
unsophisticated in stonework, the other smaller in English garden wall
bond red brickwork with small pane leaded casements.
