C18 front to probably older houses. 2 storeys, rubble. 4 bays with timber lintels,
glazing bar sashes. 2 1st floor windows in right-hand part casements under 2
former eaves window (glazing bars apparent inside). Irregular ground floor openings,
door between 2 left-hand windows. Segmental relieving arch to centre built forward
of entrance which formerly led to the old Bailiffs House: segmental archway with
drips (probably early C16). Plain C19 shop front to right. Gable-lit attic.
Rear has small gable to right hand 1st floor window.
Interior of No 28: bolection fireplace in 1st floor rear extension room, similar
fireplace with Tudor rose keystone to ground floor front. Roof formerly gable end
to street end later extended to rear gabled wing which is part timber framed.
