Cottage, enlarged as day and Sunday school, now dwelling. Probably C18, enlarged 1837.
Roughcast over rubble, exposed south-west gable end, steeply pitched double Roman tiled
roof, slate roofed porch, large central C18 brick stack. L-plan: probably 2-cell cottage
lying east-west enlarged with south west wing and south-east porch, outshut on west
front continued as single storey range linking Julia Cottage (qv) to south, east end
fronting road. East end: 2-storey gable fronted single bay, 16-pane sashes with moulded
architraves, single storey porch left with 3x5 pane fixed light window, entrance on
south front through gable single storey porch with Tudor arch head doorway and C20 door,
gable end of south-west wing with irregular fenestration presumably lighting stair;north
front overlooking chapel (qv) lit only ground floor right with 3-light casement.
The day and Sunday school was paid for by the Welmans of Poundisford Park (qv),
Listed primarily for historic interest as part of a group, (Kelly's.Directory, 1914).
