Hand pump. 1899, by J.Warner & Sons, London. Free-standing pump with painted
iron casing about 2 metres high, each side of which is divided horizontally
into 2 fielded panels. Moulded cornice topped by scrolled iron finial. Plain
bowed handle to north side, spout hole to west. Small rectangular lead
cistern with raised decoration, and spout, stored within casing at time of
re-survey. Shield to south side inscribed "Erected by the Parish Council
1899". Formerly associated with Workhouse Cottages (demolished mid-to-late
C20)
