Fulling Mill Farm

Barn or stables, now stables. Late C17 or C18. Timber framed, weatherboarded, with
plain tile roof. 3 timber-framed bays. Coursed ragstone plinth, higher to east (left)
due to slope of land. Single-storey height. Hipped roof with gablet to left. 3
inserted windows, one 2-light casement to right, one pivoting casement to left and
another to left gable end. 2 stable doors. Small hatch above plinth to left gable
end. Rear lean-to. Interior: exposed framing, incorporating re-used timber. Areas
of lath and daub between studs and weatherboarding. Straight tie-beams with small arch-
braces towards ends. Clasped purlin roof with diminishing principal rafters of
relatively thin scantling. Included for group value.
