10/98 Saddler's Cottage

Cottage. Dated 1689, extended mid C20. Coursed rubble stone with stone dressings
land thatch roof with stone truncated ridge stack. L plan with the 1689 range
projecting to rear and facing right behind a large C20 wing which is not of
special interest. 2 storeys of 2 casements, centre-opening 3-light and 2-light
over 2 stone mullion windows with hood moulds: 3-light and 2-light. To left
a large C20 glazed porch with thatch roof. On right end a C20 1 storey extension.
Above this a 2-light stone mullion window with hood mould and an attic 2-light
casement. Inside are chamfered beams and inglenook with 1689 carved on piece
of wood to left of this. V.C.H., Vol.V.
