II

Two cottages, formerly 1 cottage. C17 with C19 alterations and
additions. Coursed ironstone and limestone rubble, ashlar dressings,
3 brick ridge stacks, pantiled roof. Irregular 6 bay front, single
storey plus attics. Original central door with moulded C17 surround
and cornice now blocked. Flanked by to the left one 3 light casement
window with wooden mullions in a C17 moulded stone surround, with
beyond a C17 3 light ovolo moulded mullioned window with moulded
cornice. To the right of the door is a three light window with wooden
mullions in a C17 surround with cornice, a C19 glazed panelled door
with flat lintel and a small C19 2 light glazing bar casement window
with flat lintel. Above are 4 dormers, 3 with two lights and one with
3; all are C19 with glazing bar casement windows and rendered cheeks.
