Circa 1720. Brown brick with red brick dressings. 3 storeys, basement and wide
dormer in slate mansard roof. 5 windows. Double hung sashes in flush frames
with glazing bars set in segmental arches. Wooden Doric doorcase with panelled
reveals, plain attached columns with simple foliated caps, triglyphs and open
pediment 1780. Round-headed patterned fanlight. Return elevation (Folgate Street)
of 2 windows (some blank on each floor).
The road surface of Elder Street, with Nos 1 to 23 (odd) and Nos 24 to 36
(even) form a group with Nos 9 and 10 and the road surface of Fleur de Lys
Street.
