late C19. Red brick wall with blind gothic arches above blue brick bands. Additional
banding and gothic arched gateway with crow stepped gable at southern end. The
wall incorporates the outer walls of cottages within the factory grounds.

The buildings and wall of the listed part of Fairfield Match Works form a group
important in both the social and economic history of Bow.
