8/108 Hix memorial approx. 8m S of
chancel of Church of St. Peter
and St. Paul

Headstone. c.1653. Limestone. Small stone has a moulded arched recess
surrounding a raised shield-shaped inscription panel. Inscription commemorates
Joane Hix (died 1653). Reverse of stone is inscribed with a similar arched
design and the legend "1653/IH".
