Corner end of terrace house. c.1750-53. Stuccoed early to mid
C19, slate roof. 4 storeys, basement and dormered mansard. 2
bay front to Charles Street and 6 bay return to Chesterfield
Hill which has a projecting full height entrance bay and a full
height canted bay to right hand. Rusticated ground floor. Doorway
has moulded architrave and a stepped keystone rising to a cornice
on consoles, the latter rising from panelled pilaster strips; 6
panel door and rectangular fanlight. Revealed sash windows, no
glazing bars, those on 1st floor with entablatures over flat arches,
the sills of 2nd floor windows on consoles. Plat bands and sill
bands to both elevations; crowning cornice and blocking course.
Cast iron balcony to 1st floor facing Charles Street. Cast iron
area railings. Included for group interest, on corner site, only.
