TQ 2880 NE CITY OF WESTMINSTER GROSVENOR STREET Wl 69/79 No 34 24.2.58 - II* Large terraced town house. 1725-28, with mid C19 stucco facing, slate roof. Three storeys and basement, mansard with dormers. Five window bays with giant pilasters to left and right. Moulded cornice and balustraded parapet. Ground floor has reinstated windows and Tuscan column porch. Sash windows revealed in stucco surrounds, those on first floor with balustrades and keystones, the sashes with original glazing bars. C18 wrought iron area railings with lampholders and link extinguishers. Interior retains very fine original front compartment staircase, stone treads with carved ends and lyre pattern wrought iron balustrade and stucco work to walls and ceiling. Ground and first floor rooms retain much of their original panelling with some Edwardian refurbishment, etc. Survey of London Vol XL.
