Row of houses with shops in pedestrian court. Late C.18, the shops
original to scheme. Brown brick, concealed roofs. 3 storeys on basement.
2 windows each. Ground floors have original wooden shop fronts with
panelled and glazed shop door to left of bowed display windows, mostly with
glazing bars, framed by panelled pilaster strips and entablature. The bows
are cantilevered on brackets. No. 1 has original window and doorway to
west return. Upper floors have recessed glazing bar sashes under flat
gauged arches. Parapet with coping. Wall mounted bracketed mid C.19 gas
lamps.
