C18 or earlier cottage, much altered and now used as offices. Part of larger
block, of paper mill, converted C18 from corn mill Bought by Dickinson, 1809,
supplied cartridge paper for British army during Napoleonic Wars. Whitewashed
brick ground floor, vertical boarding to timber framed 1st floor. Old tiled
roof. 2 storeys. 1st floor has 2 lattice casement windows, 5 casement windows
with glazing bars. Ground floor has 4 small windows 2 pentice roofed C19 sash
bay windows. Listed partly for historical interest.
