SO 32 NW LONGTOWN CP -

6/69 Upper Wernddu

Farmhouse with adjoining outbuilding. C17, with late C19 and C20 alterations
and additions. Sandstone rubble,painted to main house, C19 tiled roof,
corrugated metal to adjoining outbuilding. Rectangular plan with lobby entry,
aligned east/west with east gable-end stack, outbuilding adjoins to east,
further minor later additions to rear. Two storeys and attics. Entrance front:
three 3-light casement windows with traces of hoodmoulds and positions of
former mullions, C19 cambered head to window to right of doorway with heavy
wooden framed doorway with segmental head, battened door, left-hand return
retains 3-light diamond wooden mullioned window. Interior altered but
retains chamfered ceiling beams and a further segmental-headed doorway;
possibly traces of stone winder staircase against the main stack. Out-
building to left with four triangular vents and left square-headed doorway.
