NY 01 NE LAMPLUGH

3/52 High Trees, west
farmhouse & adjoining
byre range

G.V. II

Original farmhouse, probably mid C17; later additions and alterations. Rendered
rubble with rusticated quoins on chamfered plinth; 1st floor lintel band and
cornice to main house front. Graduated slate roofs; stone end chimneys. 2
storeys. North elevation 3 bays, symmetrical: central glazed door in
architrave with sash in architrave to either side and 3 above. East return has
C20 glazed door in original chamfered surround (now inside porch) with 3-light
mullioned window to left, under continuous hoodmould; 2 original and one
facsimile 2-light mullioned windows above. Byre range under same roof to south:
3 doors (one now blocked) and C20 inserted window to ground floor with loft door
and window (former door?) above. Barn range adjoining byres at right-angles not
of interest.
