Barn. Early-to-mid Cl7. Timber framed, weatherboarded, on stone plinth.
Corrugated iron roof. 5 timber-framed bays with central midstrey. Gabled
roof. Central full-height double doors. Later lean-to shelter to left gable
end. Interior: gunstock-jowled posts. Tie-beams not morticed for arch
braces. Clasped-purlin roof with diminishing principal rafters, short
almost straight windbraces, and vertical queen struts to collars. One
threshing floor brace. Tension brace to wall of each bay and pair to each
gable end. South gable end has stave, lath and daub infilling above midrail.
Similar infilling to rear wall with broad boards below. Mortices for
diamond mullion window with shutter groove under right gable end tie-beam.
Chamfered midrail soffits. Right end bay formerly floored, with partition
under tie-beam. Edge-halved wall-plate scarf joint.
