Oast house, now commercial premises. Dated 1846. Red brick with some
blue headers in. diaper pattern, with cemented details. Slate roof.
Central range in Jacobethan style, with later attached wings. Two
storeys on plinth with plat band, quoins and cornice to large shaped
gable with obelisk finials. Large central entrance with climbing hop
plants in relief on jambs, arch with raised voussoirs and keystone
raised to cornice. C20 glazing and door. In the gable is set a clock
with scrolled surround and segmental pediment, with the date 1846, and;.
a dated achievement over that. Left and right returns also with shaped
gables; now partly obscured by later C19 gabled wings; 2 storeys, with
pierced barge boards and finials, with 2 segment headed wood casements
and central glazed loft doorway, in left hand wing, and 2 moulded round-
headed lights on each floor of right hand wing with central round headed
left door. Both wings with blocked round headed doorways on ground floor.
