Three tomb chests.-Sladden, d.1711/12, about 10 metres north of
church. Moulded black marble top slab on brick chest with uprights
enriched with rose wreaths, skulls and simple raised and fielded
panels. Thomas and Susannah Jull, d.1726. Very fine chest on moulded
base with moulded top slab, and stone side panels with central reeded
upright, and corner uprights with motifs of wreathed plant growing
out of a skull, ribbons and Death's heads, Wyverns and winged cherubs.
William (and Sarah) Harris, d.1840 about 15 metres north. Sarcophagus
on double stepped base with fluted corner piers on lions feet, the side
panels with palm fronds, the end panels with Holy Dove in radiant
surround.
