These adjoin The Bakery (qv) and are not the first 2 houses in The Street.
C17 or earlier L-shaped, timber-framed building, with plaster infilling, the
ground floor rebuilt in red brick. Hipped tiled roof. No 1 has a bay containing
a window of 2 tiers of 4 lights on the ground floor and of 2 tiers of 6 lights
above, both with wooden mullions and transoms, with a small gable over. No
2 has a C18 flush shop window, complete with glazing bars and a horizontally-sliding
sash window over. Two storeys, 2 windows.
